Pizza Mill in Custer

This was my first time eating your pizza,sad to say if that's how you serve it I won't be back...No taste,sauce was blaa,.. I was looking for a good lunch and was very disappointed...

The pizza is terrific at this place!!! The crust is sooooo good! We had it twice on a recent visit to the Black Hills. Do yourself a favor and get some pizza from here.

This place was small, clean and inviting with a modern and clean bathroom. The people working there were friendly,fast and helpful. The chicken wings were so tasty with a crispy batter coating them. The personal pan pizza was brilliant and I loved the amount of topping and the crust. They have honey at each table to put on your crust, I'd never done that before but it was surprisingly tasty.

We built our own pizza on the gluten free crust. They put ranch on for the sauce and it was amazing! Best gluten free crust I've ever had!

Best pizza hands down. A must stop! Great service, friendly staff. We will be back!!

Such good, homemade pizza, sandwiches, and other grub. Good variety, cute little building, and a super friendly local couple running it. Got lots of good recommendations from the managers (also the cooks and servers) on what to eat, all very good suggestions! Would recommend highly

This place is amazing. So friendly and the pizza crust is the most perfect I have tasted in many years. It has been a different experience traveling in this state during this time. The staff at the Pizza Mill was very welcoming to us unlike a lot of places in this area. Which is crazy cause I know they depend on tourism.

What a quaint, comfortable, DELICIOUS place! We were passing through and especially pleased with the quality of their pizza. Green olives on a chicken barbecue pizza? Who woulda thought? Yummy! I am going to need someone to open a pizza mill by my house, in Utah, please!

Pizza was absolutly delicious. Very friendly service aswell! This will definitely be a stop for food every time we are in town!! Great food!!!

This place is so good! We stopped here on the way through South Dakota and had three different pizzas. I recommend the sun dried tomatoes on pizza. The server was so helpful and nice!

A hidden gem tuck away in a small town off 16A West just right out of Custer State Park. Great pizza!

Pizza was pretty good. No complaints. Lots of cheese. Thick crust, with honey dipping. Definitely not New York or Italian style (if that's what you're looking for). Friendly service.

This pizza shop has really good thin crust pizza with braided sides. They were real busy but they managed to get the food out in time. The young server behind the counter was polite & friendly. He was working real hard to get things done. They have a nice patio with a mill saws & corrugated tin rustic interior inside. This place delivers good marks in spite of the tiny location. Good job team & thank you.

The pizza was fantastic! Jalapeño was sliced up and melted under the cheese and basically in every bite, just like i LOVE it! The building is quaint, but we just got it to go!

Best gluten free pizza ever!!! They do not go light on the cheese and topping!!! The regular pizza has an amazing thick crust around the edge that you can dip in honey. The sauce on the pizza is sweet and delicious. A must place to stop!! The lady that took our order was so kind and checked on us a couple of times. Five stars all the way!!!

Pretty good pizza. The sauce has a sweetness to it that we enjoyed. The cheese had a little something different about it too which was a good thing.

Pizza was delicious. The onion rings were super scrumptious! Definitely recommend. They get super busy but it's worth the wait.

Delicious pizza and sandwiches, kind staff, and a modern industrial feel. This is a great place to stop and get some food. I also learned that apparently putting honey on the crust of your pizza to eat it is a thing. Be sure to stop by here, especially if you're craving some pizza!

Should have shared 2.5 years ago. I arrived late afternoon on Sunday in late April in 2017. Waitress and cook were AWESOME! They told me to put honey on the crust of my pizza. I thought it was crazy. Changed the entire way I think about crust, which I normally throw away on my most pizza. If I stop by Custer in the near future, I’m coming back. Great place with great ingredients.

Amazing pizza!! Service was great restaurant is small there are only 5 tables inside. Most people take their orders to go it seems. Totally worth a visit!

The food is varied and excellent. My wife picked it up, so I can't speak to the interior or staff interaction. We had the supreme (loaded with everything). The flavors meld together in a way I hadn't experienced before. It causes an overall delicious taste that transcends the individual ingredients. For example, the pizza had a few things that I don't like, but I didn't realize this until I was almost done with my second slice. The flavor composition was perfectly balanced. The crust is thin-ish underneath and folded up at the edges. It should appeal to both thin and thick crust fans. Leftovers heat up pretty well in the microwave, so do not be afraid of getting more than you can eat.

Dine in area is small. Food was excellent.

We had a great pizza. Honey on the table to go with the delicious crust. The pizza was delivered faster than I expected, but was not undercooked. It’s a small establishment, so if you have a large group considering ordering out. Great service! We will definitely go back next time we are in town.

This was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust is so good and the veggies were all fresh. Delicious! We sat outside on the deck and that was perfect! There are only 5 tables inside, so the deck was the perfect option. Service was good.

When you go to this place and stand in front of it you may think that this can't be it. Then you walk in and think again you may be wrong. But when you taste the pizza you know you are in heaven or at least at the right spot! The pizzas are truly amazing, they taste delicious and their crust is a bit thicker but really good. The staff is reserved (no big chatting) but very polite and friendly. The pizzas served are not the usual ones (you can build them if you want) but they have some own creations which are fantastic like the GYRO or the CHICKEN RANCH. Seating is for aproximately 15 persons inside plus 15 outside. This place is highly recommended!

Very bad experience! Our Pizza was upside down and everywhere; toppings were everywhere other than on the pizza; appeared cook threw it into the box. No large box’s for large pizzas. 5 onion rings at most but some of the 5 were small pieces and charged $6.00. Waited 45 min for our order in the hot sun. Too small of a facility to sit in and NO AC. Few tables outside some with umbrellas but not all. Very very bad experience for the first time ever going to this restaurant and we are locals. Cannot say we will go back, Pizza Hut much better.

The pizzas were excellent. The roasted ponderosa was good and so was the sausage pizza. Although, the toppings were kind of skimped on that one. The cheese bread is good. I would say the place is small, but they did have outdoor seating as well.

Stopped on a whim and glad we did! Whole family voted it the best pizza we've ever had! They even have honey on the table to drizzle on the homemade mouthwatering crust. It was like having a dessert at the end! It was also very clean with cute decor and friendly, excellent service. 5 stars only because 6 isn't an option

We were in Custer for dinner and we saw several specialty pizzas on their menu online — several sounded good to us, like the BBQ chicken or BBQ brisket, but we went with the cheesesteak pizza. We really enjoyed that, though the beef could have been sliced more (they were bigger than bite size and made the pizza messier than necessary). Their crust was unique — and filling! We liked the small cafe-style dining area (pizza brought to table, drinks are self-serve), and would definitely do this again if we are in the area!

4 stars for the pizza only. The venue itself is spartan and does not lend itself to eating in. Long wait times due to being slammed with tourist orders. Really good pizza though. The gluten free for my son was excellent.

Great place! We were visiting SD and stayed close to this pizza place. Ended up ordering from twice in a short 3 day stay. Great sandwiches and great pizza. Cashier was super friendly.

Best pizza and best pizza crust ever! It is a small but very cozy place. We went there after our visit at Custer State Park. The gourmet pizza was made from scratch and so tasty. There was a bottle of honey on the table, which is not what I expect to see next to parmesan cheese and crushed peppers. That's for the crust at the end. My picky daughter finished everything! Will go back again when we visit the area.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!! Did I mention just how AWESOME this place is!? From the pizza's, to the wings, down to the salad. Everything we wanted was provided in taste and price by this little pizza place. Look no further for great food. If you're in the mood for great service and even better food...this is your one-stop.

Stopped here after doing Needles highway. This is really good pizza!

Grab a quick bit of some great tasting pizza at this place after a long day of hiking at Custer. The staff is very friendly and the pizza is on point. Its a nice change of pace from the other restaurants in the area. Cozy interior with additional seating outside.
